How to tell your son WILL be a REDNECK...

Yesterday driving home from getting the twins from school we got behind a car going less than the 35 mph limit. I was patiently waiting because we were going to be turning just up the road. My daughter tells me to pass them, I respond and say no because we are just about to our road.

Well from the other side of the car and behind me where my oldest son sits I hear:

"Just bump draft them Mom! They'll move."

Now I don't know if I should be proud that he knows what that term means or not but I sat there and LOL, and shook my head.

That's really funny. Did you do it? Just wait until your kids explain sex to you.

No problem here. That won't happen with me till my daughters get married and they can't start dating till they are 35.

Isn't that kind of strict? I told my girls no dating until they're 32... Maybe I'm just one of those modern day lenient parents.

Rod, it is a term used in Nascar. When trying to pass a slower car you get up under the bumber and "bump" them slightly and they move out of the way and you are able to move around them.

That's when a driver from behind pushes the car in front, and together they have more speed. The car behind is in the draft of the front car.

Actually what my lil' redneck should have said was "bump him and make him move." In racing you can bump the car in front thus making him loose, he backs out of the throttle or skids up the track and you can slip under him to complete the pass.

I sure hope that was rhetorical. I'm not a big fan but I know what it is.
