Went to work and got an hour overtime. Stopped at Wally World on the way home and picked up some self stick clips to put Christmas lights on the new metal roof.

I didn't see any great deals this year like in the years past. I usually spend a few hundred dollars buying tools on black Friday but I only bought $20 worth of Milwaukee drill bits that I didn't need this year at Lowes. I had to buy something.

A jalapeno hamburger from Carl's Jr is the only thing I bought, it wasn't on sale though. I was visiting with family and traveling all day Friday.

            Wood!

I visited some family in Missouri and while we were out tripping around on Friday we happened to stop by a local lumber yard to ask about having them mill a couple cherry and walnut trees that my father is removing from his property. While I was there I noticed that the old boy had a ton of Cedar and oak on hand. That stuff is expensive out in CA where I live. He was willing to let go of some A grade rough cut 4/4 aromatic cedar for about .20 cents a board foot and some oak for about .80 cents a board foot. Normally I wouldn't buy wood like this since the cost of transporting it would kill the deal. This time would have been no exception because I flew to MO and I couldn't take the stuff home with me. However my father was driving back to CA and was willing to take it with him is his truck so I picked up as much as I could convince him to load and he says that if it dries well and works out that he is willing to grab another load for me, in addition to the cherry and walnut that he will have milled and haul for me, next time he goes out there. Yes I have a great dad. So that was my unexpected black Friday deal!

I slept in till 11 am. I had looked at all the ads and nothing caught my attention.

I did get a severe headache when I found out that the handimen my wife hired to redo the dining room parked all the left over paint, compund, etc in my shop making access to my table saw impossible. In addition, one of them (he must have been the president of this group), used my drill press table as a step to try and put some stuff away in the overhead storage. You guess right, he snapped the table right at the T-track.
