    Very Slow Friday on BT3Central

Is Everybody shopping Black Friday except the people on Jeff Schronce's post?

Or working in the shop today?

    Maybe working for pay?

    Watching the Football games?

Or is the soporific turkey still working its magic?

Second turkey day for me. The wife's family today, so I haven't seen my shop, sadly.

No shopping on Black Friday for me, thanks....

Went to the LA Auto Show. Carbon fiber is in. Green is in. Ferrari looks good in red.

      That's my report!

I love auto shows. In Miami, the Mfg's auto show also has "Million Dollar Alley" that has customs and concepts, awesome!!! Ferrari always looks good in red, Lambo is pretty cool in yellow, and I have a slight dislike for green, after wearing it for many years.

We'll probably be eatin' turkey for a few days. Our one son that has a hole in his stomach had "T" dinner at his in-laws. More for me. Wife made her famous candied cranberry dish, and the best stuffing yet...mmmmmm.

Trip to HD to get some stuff for christmas lights. Then family stuff. Then started putting up the lights. Will finish the lights today and get the Christmas tree.

Of course those of us in the great white north already had Thanksgiving back in October. I was at work all day.

I noticed the slow traffic too.

Feels like winter in the northeast...its cold in the shop! We watched some college football, shopped a bit, carted kids around, watched a movie, etc.

I am over here at the in-laws. My FIL and I went to a couple of stores yesterday. We both wanted to get the 12 gallon shop vac from HD but they only have one HD here in the Peoria, Il area. Told him if we were over at my place we would have had 4 HD's that we could go to.

Then we went to Menards and when we saw the people inside the store, we just turned around and left.

We went to officemax to see if I can get one of those seagate external HD deal but they were sold out.

Went to Harbor Freight and FIL bought the HF trim router and some casters.

Stopped by Blaines Farm & Fleet and they did not really have anything.

We got home, had some left over turkey for lunch and then watched college football for the rest of the day. LSU vs Arkansas game was awesome!

Man, I ate too much yesterday. Father in law is building himself a shop in his garage so I told him I'll help him out. Hopefully burn some of these food I ate.

Just turned 31 yesterday too so I got some VISA gift cards from in-laws and wife. Saving it and waiting for awesome deals at the jungle.

Kids were home and kinda bored so I went out and bought a Wii w/ four controllers and found myself getting sucked into playing the darn thing all day long.

Went to HD and picked up another of the Shop vac specials - super buy on an excellent unit. Have 3 of them now and leave them at each of my apartments so I don't have to lug one back and forth. Also bought a 5 ft. step ladder on sale. We went about 8:30 and was surprised that there were more employees than customers.

Went to a Menards store and couldn't believe the people. Have never seen it so busy. Every other customer seemed like they were buying the cheap shovels-$3.00 and a pet pillow for $10.00. But the baskets were loaded at checkout with other stuff also.

Also stopped at a target (so-so busy) and a Sam's Club (not busy at all).

I like having turkey sandwiches for a couple of days better than the actual dinner on Thanksgiving I think.

Took a 15-pound fried turkey, a carving knife, and a six-pack of Becks Dark, grabbed the remote and a couple books, pulled the covers up under my chin, and gave it he11.

Final score: Uncle Cracker 1, Turkey 0

You were lucky to find one mate. Only ones I've found are the 500ish combo sets.

I spent yesterday in the shop working on 2 bird feeders. After trying BF once I learned its a waste of time and a suicide mission.
