I still have pretty good luck. I just know that items requiring truck freight or from a third party are verboten, but its still a heck of a deal otherwise. A lot of books and things that I get, the shipping can often double the price, so Prime keeps that from being a problem, in addition to getting the item in my hands quickly. One hint: Third party sellers are often setting their prices just below that of Amazon themselves. Sometimes, you just have to pay a nickel or so more from Amazon, and then get the Prime shipping. And remember that BT3Central gets credit (and revenue) for your Amazon purchases if you go there from the links on this website.

books and music are one thing, but you can't have (2) 12" CSMS's overnighted for $2.99 anymore....those were the days.

That is interesting. Never noticed that. Still qualifies for 2 day Prime but can't upgrade to $2.99 overnight. Wonder if it has to do with the fact that shipping 76lb SCMS from PA to NC next day air costs $259.47? Heck 2nd day costs $124.56. I can only imagine what shipping from PA to CA would be!

Probably. Fortunately, I don't get in that situation too much. Try to think two days ahead on all my major purchases.

Ya, I was kind of wondering when I would need TWO SCMS's by 10:30 AM the following day. LOL!

As I stated, I really don't care about the actual in transit time, its the order processing time that I am after. You got to get to the top of the heap when you run across a $1000 X5 Unisaw with 50" Bies!!!

Example: I bought Freud 6" Dial A Width dado 20% off with power tool purchase. That is once and off promo. The blade shipped the next day and arrived within 12 hours of shipping (came from Allentown warehouse). Had to send it back due to issues. Ordered 8" DAW dado with one of my non-prime accounts and it is expected to SHIP on 11/27/2007. Again, it will likely arrive within 12 hours of being shipped.
