        CAB,

No way. In the 101st, we threw them away, with great ceremony, when we got our wings.

I took mine off, tied them together and threw them over a telephone line just outside gate 1 at Ft. Jackson, SC in 1974 as I was ETS'ing. I saluted the guard, and waved goodbye. My sweetheart (who is still with me) was waiting on me in the car.

If you were cool, and had the money you had Corfams.

For some reason I not only have my Low Quarters, properly spit shined, but one pair of Black Leather Combat Boots also spit shined, and my dress uniform, complete with both hats and blousing bands for guard duty. This is from the 60's with the new Army Green Dress Uniform. It does impress my Grandsons. Does it still fit me? NO! not even the shoes or boots. I even have a set of Kakis. Why? I don't even have a clue.
