TomTom One v. Magellan Maestro 3100

Black Friday deals TomTom One $99 v. Magellan Maestro 3100 $150.

Did side by side at Circuitcity.com. Seems very similar with TomTom getting the nod for updating ability.

    Thoughts?

I have a TomTom version that is on my Treo phone. I love the maps. You can't beat the one you listed for $99 bucks! I don't have any opinion about the Magellan. I recently upgraded and bought a Garmin Nuvi 250W because I wanted a stand alone unit. It made more sense for my business travel.

Got the TomTom One and for the price you can't beat it. I love the maps and very easy to use. Does not take a scientist to use one.

Who has the tomtom on sale for $99? The cheapest I see it is for $120 at Circuit City.

I bought the tomtom one last august for around $180 and its real easy to use and the directions work well - much better than I thought.
I've had, though several instances where it locks up and reboots with apparently bad map info.
Once near home and I knew where to go and three or four times this last October on vacation in RI-Mass I95 area.
I guess I need to check on how to update it but it seems to me that if you have to update it every time you go someplace its not good - defeats the convenience.

$99 or even $120 is a killer deal.

The Staples Black Friday in-store sale ad they have posted online says $125, although they do give a $20 gift card with purchase.
