    1st Amazon order

This morning I placed my first order ever with Amazon.com. It was for the Bosch 3727DEVS 6: ROS which was mentioned in a bargain alert thread, yesterday I believe. Found out that they don't ship to Canada, at least not this item. So I'm having them ship it te a friend of mine who has a PO Box on Wellesley Island in the St Lawrence 1000 Island region.
I'm a bit nervous. Is Amazon a fairly reliable supplier?
They've send me an e-mail confirming the order. So it should be allright.
I'll let you know how it works out.

Same here. I order a lot from them because it's easier than driving to Austin or Dallas when I can't find an item locally (often). Never a problem.

their market capitalization is 33 billion dollars as of today.
I think they'll be around a bit longer.
I use them a lot. Easiest if you just buy straight up, harder to deal with if you have complex transactions with a lot of coupons and deal codes.

Tim, I have purchased from Amazon.com once with absolutely no problem. I would buy more items but as you have noticed they do not ship to Canada (at all) and Amazon.ca (the Canadian version) does not carry tools. Keep the address for that PO Box handy You may get to use it more often.

I've done numerous transactions with Amazon with very few issues...and any I've had were resolved satisfactorily in a timely manner.

I've had good luck with Amazon also. Just be prepared for a ridiculous amount of boxes/packaging.

I might be biased (as Amazon has almost given me expensive items on several occasions), but I love Amazon.

Great customer service (the reps in the US), fast shipping, and unbeatable pricing.

Love Amazon. Great service and generally the best prices if they show it on their site. Because of their excellent service, I give them preference over others I know nothing about.
