Here are two more pictures from last weekends hunting trip. This first one is of a buck, possibly the largest buck I have ever seen and I have seen plenty of big bucks, that we saw on our way into the woods. It crossed the road in front of us down in a valley with a house on about every 50 acres. I quickly grabbed the camera, by which time it had moved to a field. By the time I was the 30 or 40 steps up the road to get this picture it was running full out. Blame the poor shot on me shaking plus the deer running swiftly. I did not even have time to check the settings and as you can see the camera was still set for indoor pics. Look above the head. Those are antlers shining in the light.

This one was right after lunch. We were driving down a road and the deer was walking towards us. The wind was favorable so after I stopped and turned the car off the deer kept walking straight at us for 30 more yards before dropping off the road. It then walked near the road in the same direction. I was able to peer over the bank to get this shot. Only a forkhorn but he has a large body. Hopefully he will get wiser over the next year or he might not escape hunters such as myself to grow as large as the first deer.
