    How Vain Can We Get!

When I saw this I couldn't believe there are people that would actually buy one.

I hope they come up with a peel-and-stick Ferrari that I can slap on over my Taurus...

I agree. Makes you kind of wonder if people are just having fun with him or whether they're really idiots.

I like the question where it says, the adhesive is meant to be used so you can't remove the ersatz sunroof to another car.

They say the reason is to prevent theft... think about that! Who'd want to steal a fake sunroof?

The guy who tried to break into the car through it, because he thought it was real!

Maybe they will come out with a DIY kit for $499.95 to make it functional.

Maybe the glass-like reflective surface will reflect the Texas sun better than paint and keep the inside cooler!

You might be able to prevent it with one of those stick-on fake alarms.

That is absolutely great! And someone bought it!

Ah, the 'more flash than cash' crowd pleaser. Pimp out the car on a budget. I remember this guy at some auto forum who fitted his car with a stick-on hood scoop, DIY window tint, spray-on 'allow wheel' paint, and now was trying to find some product that would make loud 'VROOM' sounds to make his car sound like a real turbo.

He is probably among those who bought a fake sunroof.

Frankly, though, if the idea is that a 'pimped out' car will help you score chics, and sunroof is actually a factor with one agreeing to go for a ride, I wonder at the embarassment of having a girl get in and discover that it is a fake.

Me, I hate those things. A bird poop receptacle that decreases headroom.

You know, I want one just to do pranks. Put one on a car in a parking lot while the person is in the store. They come out, and wonder where there car is. "that looks like my car, and I parked there. But my car doesn't have a sunroof..."

That's a hysterically funny idea...and if they went inside to call the cops or to ask for help, whip the thing off before they got back.

of course if its a clueless person who doesn't notice much, he'd just get in and drive. Then you'd lose your gimmick.
