    Sleep

How much sleep do you typically get at night? Do you wake up often? I usually get at least 8 hours, maybe 8 1/2. I wake up probably 4 or 5 times per night because my shoulders (arthritic) bother me, or my hands (carpal tunnel syndrome) bother me. But I get in a different sleeping position, and I'm sleeping again within 5 minutes. Rarely do I get out of bed during the night.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

Well, my nights sleep is pretty much the same as yours except one of the times I wake up is usually for a bathroom visit. We just changed to a tempur pedic bed last week, I'm hopeful it'll help with my shoulder pain. The first couple of nights it seemed pretty firm but I'm getting used to it now and think it's going to be good.

I hit the sheets at 11PM and get up at 6:30. The awake times vary depending on the discomfort level and location. Mostly, if I can't sleep it's from the get-go and I have to use the recliner and ice packs. Such is life but I'm not complaining in the least. I'm able to walk and do nearly anything I want to so I feel that life is good!
      Blessings,

I go to bed around 1:00 am and I'm awake by 5:00. I fall asleep on my back and wake up in the same position. When we were first married my wife kept checking my pulse. She's gotten used that (and alot of other stuff) in 21 years of marriage.

When I used to write code for a living and didn't need to talk to other people on a regular basis, I'd stay awake for 24-28 hours and then sleep for 6. It drove my roommates nuts.

I work nights and usually during my work week Sat-Tue, I get about 4-5 hours. The other three days I convert over to a "day walker" schedule and get 7-8 hours.

            About 9:30 - 3:00. Been that way since I semi-retired.

I sleep max 4 hours/night, regardless of how tired. Been doing it since college, and could practically set my watch by it. Comes in handy when I have to do an all-nighter to meet a work deadline. It does help, though, that I am self-employed with an office in my home, as a mid-afternoon nap of a half hour or so can be had if I feel like it.

I average 6-7 hrs a night. Usually sleep the night through except for the occassional 'nature' call.

About 5 hours of sleep on average in my bed, though on weekends I like to sleep a little later. I do augment my sleep by napping on the bus to and from work.
