    Leadership/Management Questions

The postings on higher education are great. The financing college education poll is awesome.

To the folks in here who are currently on a leadership/management role in their field/day job. Below are questions that I have for you. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

    1. What are your roles and responsibilities?
    2. What theories, information, or models does a leader/manager in your field need? (ex.: Six Sigma, Brainstorming, Benchmarking, etc.)
    3. What specialize professional skills are necessary to be successful as a leader/manager in your field?
    4. What liberal learning skills are necessary?
    5. What changes are currently influencing your capacity? (technology, global markets, literary theory, etc.)
    6. What other professional areas are related to your field? How? (ex.: Is financial statement analysis part of Sales?)
    7. What are the possible organizations and publications in your field? (ex.: AMA, NACM, etc.)
    8. What are the current debates or issues important to your field?
    9. What kind of education does a professional in your field need? Is there a difference between classroom and experiential learning in your field?
    10. What research skills are important in your field?
    11. Does you field require a graduate degree? If so, what sort? What are the admissions requirements?
    Chris

Chris, those are great questions, but you're asking for about 4 hours of typing for me to answer them all.

Oh, that is okay. You can take as long as you like. And it is open book.

I started to reply... I'll complete it tomorrow

My job is not the typical management job you will get a reply from.

Chris, a suggestion... make a line to list your job. It will help make sense of the answers.

Sounds like a survey to me

Only "4 hours to answer" seems optimistic
