    Same birthdays?

If I were a betting man, I'd bet there would be more than a pair of us who share a birthday. What's yours? Mine's Dec. 20.

While the mathematical odds of someone having the same birthday as you are only ~1 in 365, allowing any two people to share a birthday is quite a bit more likely. I believe from memory if you put just 30 people in a room the odds that some 2 people will share a birthday is much better than not.

        http://leaver.org/noca//birthday/other.html
the above link treats this in great detail.

It shows that if you have 30 people in a room the odds that 2 people will share a birthday is more than 70%.
somwhere around 24 people the odds are even that there will be or won't.

Since we have more than 365 members of BT3central the odds are 100% that two members or more will share a birthday.
But the odds that a person picked at random will have Ed's birthday is only 1 in 365.

you can use the mathematical method in the link to find out the liklihood of 3 people sharing a birthday... I imagine we have enough that that's highly likely.

Finally, go to this calendar link at BT3central
You can see for the month of August there are 3 days Aug 3, 4 and 12) in which four people share birthdays And two days Aug 1 and 17 with 5 birthdays. Tuesday the 7th and 28th each have 6 people sharing birthdays. And thats just for those who chose to make their birthday public info.
