My sympathies to all that have recently lost pets. It isn't ever easy. The last dog I owned was back about 82. He was a beautiful black lab named Bandit. He was taken by an 18 wheeler after he had gotten loose. I said then that I will never adopt another puppy because i just didn't want to set myself up for such a loss.
We have working cats now. They come in the house only during high winds and storms. They have free range and they take care of a lot of unwanted pests around the place. It still hurts to loose one of these guys as well. They are much different than dogs in the way they interact with us, but the same spot is sore when they are gone.
Life is short for us and even shorter for them. I can take some comfort in knowing that I helped to give them a good life during their short time here.

I hate to hear news like that. Pets bring so much into our lives and ask so little in return.

I am sorry to hear about that. Pets are like our family here. It is hard to deal with those kinds of situations.

            Dave,

Just keep in this in mind, you'll always be part of the BT Family.
