I'm glad it's your neighbor, and not me. I'll pass on the free offer, but tell him thanks anyhow.

That offer stinks, but would probably make a good disney cartoon, or maybe even a wanda sykes tv comedy show...

Send a PM to Ken Massingale, I'm pretty sure he's going to be interested in these.

We had a family of skunks living under our shed 3 summers ago. Fortunately, they tend not to spray in their own den, but they do leave the den regularly! We had several face to face encounters.

We made it fairly unpleasant for them to live there though, so they left as soon as the young were old enough to migrate. We sprayed a hose under the shed often, tossed moth balls under it, only to have them toss them out the next day. I played a radio under the shed one night, left a lightbulb on under it one night, poured gasoline and chlorine in their entry way....on separate occasions...just about everything we could think of to make them want to leave.

Chipmonks, woodchucks, and/or bunnies have been seen lately, but no more skunks!
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

I'm not so sure about that. Years ago we would hear scratching uder the house at night and wonder what was going on. then one evening just after we arrived home the smell of a spraying skunk could be smelled everywhere along with squeals (of delight as it turned out). Next day animal control told my wife the males spray when they get excited while mating.

Can't wait to hear what our lady readers have to say about this.

It's the face-to-other-end encounters that are the most worrisome...

In most cases I prefer to deal with issues "face-to-face"...no exception here!

                              Black & White ***** Cat??

Neighbors of our had a big b/w tom cat..our little female tiger cat was fixed but he didn't know it..and being a "tom" he was ready for love whenever; so I would always shoo him home..one night I heard a noise on our back porch, so I opened the screen door and saw a black and white shape ready to come on the porch; thinking it was Bandit I started to yell, "Go Home Bandit" but all I got out was "Go Ho" when I realiZed it was a skunk and not Bandit!
Fortunately for all of us it decided that to turn around and skuttle off
