Chevy versions are superior vehicles and a much better value in my opinion.

Well, today, I started my eliminations. I stopped at a Chevy and a Ford dealership (they were across the street from each other). The Tahoe's were way too much money. They had a slew of Trailblazers, and I drove an SS. Got to tell ya-all that it GOES like stink. It pushes you back in the seat. It's got 395 HP and a different suspension than the regular Trailblazer. That one was about $38K.

I drove across the street and tried out an Eddie Bauer Explorer. Very smooth and very quiet, but not a lot of punch. New, somewhere around $29K. Can get a dealer demo for about $27K. These were window sticker prices. Haven't sat down at a desk yet.

Tomorrow is Dodge, Jeep, Nissan, Infinity and Honda. I've heard good things about the Pilot. Going to drive one tomorrow, I'm just thinkin' that it may be a bit small.

I guess some of these salesmen must think I'm reserved, so on the test drives I scare the heck outta them...he,he,he. When I drove the SS, the salesman looked at me and said "Be careful, it's got a lot of power". I just turned slowly and looked at him and said calmly "Oh, really?"
