Not quite but I do now have a dedicated dado machine and I won't have to build/buy a router table anymore for the Bench Dog fence I ordered. Funny thing is I've been looking for a dado stack for some time but all I found were wobblers and Craftsman brands (I really wanted a Forest or Freud). I saw one a while back (which I asked about here) but I took too long deciding, and it was sold. I was also thinking about getting a RAS for dados. Both just kind of fell into my lap. So I guess I'll be a half darksider. Is there such a thing?

Almost. Everything in the pic with the BT along with the rusted blade (not in the pic) was $60. Oh and 3 homemade jigs. Oh and the dado stack had a bunch small (a little smaller than an aspirin tablet) size magnets stuck on them. There were at least 3 dozen. Not sure what he used them for but I think can use them for some jigs I've been reading up on that require magnets.

I forthwith propose that all members posting gloats should be required to pay a "you suck" gloat penalty. Specifically, 10% of the difference of the retail price minus the price they paid, to the BT3central operating fund, as compensation to the rest of us.

Said compensation being for pain, mental anguish, envy, and remorse.

I'm sorry. I've read enough gloat posts here and other sites to know how that feels. I usually don't get deals this good, but I guess the CL stars aligned for me this weekend. And considering none of my friends or family are really into ww, this was the only place I could share it.

So NOW your gonna use the BT as your saw, and use the iron as the dado machine, or are you using the radial arm saw as the dado machine? (your pic's show an 8" dado blade, the BT should use a six)

Oh, you're right. I was planning on putting the stack on the BT. I do remember reading here that the BT is supposed to use 6 inch stacks. Thanks for reminding me.

The only problem with the 8" stacks on the BT is, that you need to use the 1/4" spacer so the rightmost outer blade misses the housing.
This will put the leftmost outer blade on the arbor threads IF you use more than 5/8" or so stack width and then the left blade will cut a bit unevenly since its sitting on the threads. Other than that (dado width 5/8" or less) an 8" works fine.... I've had an 8" Feud stack and a BT3000 for years.
