Plate Glass Window

I am remodeling My GrandDaughters bedroom and have taken out a window almost 5' square. I have replaced it with a Pella energy star and it's looking good. I'm also adding a bath with showerfor them, I'm tired of having to take a number for mine.

What I am wondering is I'm going to have a piece cut off to replace a small window, but hate to just junk the rest. It is a full 1/4" thick, and I was thinking maybe cut in pieces for the scary sharp system. Any interest, what size? Bill

Before I read the last part, I was thinking of saying use some of it for scary sharp. Shipping I would think eat into and benefit of having it shipped to someone. Then again I'm not sure what a sheet of 1/4 thick plate glass would go for.

How about keeping it and use it for shelving. Bet you could make some cool shelves with it. Of course you would have to come up with some kind of wood frame to hold those shelves up!

Thanks Ric I thought about the shipping costs cause it is a heavy duty piece of glass. You are probably right, I should have it cut into shelves. Bill

Now you just need a 5-foot square of sandpaper and then you can surface high-end cabinet saws.
