The funny thing I think if he would just let her out completely with no bracelet, sighting overcrowding or some other reason, he would have been in the right. This is a common occurrence with non-violent criminals and as I understand it, he has the authority to do so. But as stated before he outright disobeyed a direct ruling from the judge of no electronic monitoring devices and then refused to give a detailed explanation of what this so called medical excuse actually is. For that he could definitely be found in contempt of court but I doubt he will.

Mom's comment in one of the articles, "It's in God's hands now." It's 45 days in the LA county lock up, not death row at San Quinton.

If there is an overcrowding issue, there is a sherrif over in Arizona that probaly has some extra tent space. Word is that his guests don't like return engagements and he doesn't play favorites!

I'm with you on this!! I think they have it too nice, that is why they don't mind being locked up.

Wife keeps saying fry the ones on death row, put it on pay-per-view use the money for upkeep of the jail, make EVERY prisoner work, no work no food, clothes, clean sheets, soap, etc.

Can't mention some of the other things she has said what to do with criminals, this is a family forum. At times I think she might be related to that sheriff in Arizona.

The closest thing to work she has done (that I know of, that isn't adult), is from her tv show. The Judge I am sure knows this, and realizes that being as rich and spoiled as she is (and pretty much freely admits), that this was the one opportunity for someone to show her, there are both consequences for her actions, and she isn't immune (just less likely).

I can only hope that her, and her whole family/peer group get that through their heads, before she does something that causes bodily harm or costs a life.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

i thought the funniest thing was, how Paris's mother was going on and crying in the courtroom today.

if she had done a halfway decent job of bringing up daughter then this would not have happened. Teaching her that she is priveleged and laws don't apply - maybe that's what happened. Maybe failing to teach her anything due to preocupation with her own socialite activities, maybe that's why Paris turned out as she did. Anyway you look at it, I think there's some parental responsibility gone missing.

I can't say that I blame the judge for feeling that he was put up to ridicule by the early release against his specific orders.
People in jail have worse medical problems than being unable to cope.

I wonder if Bubbaett happens to be anywhere near her. That would give her something to cry about.

I saw the Arizona sheriff on one of the news shows a while back. He is tough. We need more like him.

The whole thing, IMO, is a travesty, much akin to a few other well-known cases. If this was some arbitrary gal caught drunk at the wheel, it would be a couple months in the slammer, no buts - and not some 'special cell', isolated from other inmates, etc etc etc.

The entire thing is likely a publicity stint. They would have conveniently 'proven' that it was not Hilton driving, or that breathalizer was defective, whatever, long ago. But now, lil Paris is no sissy blondie - oh noes, she's a hardened jail-bird, trumpeted to the world as a maligned martyr, to be universally adored by the liberal glitterati all over.

Night clubs are apparently not so hip anymore. Rich brats wanna play cops'n'robbers in style, with real courtrooms and jails and all that.

This is just another example of "American Society" in decline. I think Loring hit the nail on the head. Her parents are partially to blame for her conduct. Not only her parents, but many parents do not "parent" anymore and our young people have little concept of legalities, respect (both for others and themselves) and a sense of right and wrong.

It is quickly becoming routine to legalize the illegal using whatever excuse is available. Overcrowding, family values, economics, political wisdom and a host of others. Everyday I see folks not stopping at stop signs but rather using it as a yield sign. Minor issue but goes to the core of our society bending/breaking the law because its inconvenient. Doubt we will wake up in time.

As for Paris Hilton, can't wait for the book and movie!!

Does anyone think we've all spent more than enough time talking about this overly rich, spoiled, snot-nose, exibitionist brat.

I, for one couldn't care if she was fed to the dogs, but on second thought, dogs deserve better food than her.

Neither of these is right for her (no flame intended here - just a comment). The second for obvious reasons. The first... did you ever watch the show with her and Nicole? They were so flippant about doing the job poorly and dessicrating the livlihood of those they worked for that it was enraging. I know that dairy farmer was paid for the whole horrible experience of having them there but there's no amount of money that covers someone making a mockery of your livlihood and the life that you have built. It was the only episode that I saw and I was irate. Lock her up and let her **learn to cope** just like the rest of us do every day.

                        That's enough about that!

                          makin' my day!

That sort of makes a good start on it anyway. Some of these so called high and mighty types think that they can do what ever they want and flaunt
it and thumb their noses at the law, should see this and spend a little time in
the graybar hotel. I wonder if they have ever heard this old saying "what
type of bird ,has wings and cannot fly ? answer: jailbird!
