Is anybody else addicted to this forum? I only joined a couple of weeks ago and I'm out here checking it 4 to 5 times a day. Does the fascination start to die down a little or will I have to give LOML the "keys" to the computer?

To answer your question.....NO it never goes away. You are conversing with some of the most knowlegable people in the world and some of the nicest people you may never get the opportunity to meet in person. -
ONLY 4 or 5 times a day!!!What's wrong with you, that's not even close to an addiction. Are you skipping meals? Do you call in sick? Do you mail in a monthly contribution? Is your grass 4' high? Have you traded in your car for a dedicated computer that stays on 24 hrs a day to BT3 central.com? Do you keep a looseleaf binder full of blank sheets next to your mouse to make notes on every tip posted? Do you know every member by their screen name and remember every post each has made? Have you given up a major profession like doctor, lawyer, dentist, architect, engineer, or computer related professions in favor of a woodworking career because of BT3 central.com?
These are only a few of the indicators of a true addict. Personally, I thank you for your interest and the 4 or 5 look-sees a day. The sixth one is next!!!Comment

There is too much friendly good woodworking advise and comradely for it to die down. You posting this thread probably bumped up your count to 8 times a day. The group of guys here is bar none to any other site. Glad you like our company. Enjoy.Eric

I feel the same way Alex....As I'm posting this, I know I'm missing other posts on this or other threads. I just can't keep up with them as they come in. I'll have to buy a monitor for each section so I don't miss anything. Something like this perhaps...

The 12 Suggested Steps of BT3 Central
1) We admitted we were powerless over woodworking and buying tools--that our lives had become unmanageable.
2) Came to believe that a woodworking Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3) Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of the BT3 God as we understood Him.
4) Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves and of all our shop tools.
5) Admitted to the BT3 God, to ourselves, and to another woodworker the exact nature of our need for more clamps.
6) Were entirely ready to have the BT3 God remove all these defects of tool bargain buying and trying to have a dust free woodshop like Rod Kirby’s.
7) Humbly asked Him to remove our access to the bank account for buying bargain alert tools and also new jig building (that we have to purchase parts for off the Internet).
8) Made a list of all "normal" persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all unless it would decrease our time in the wood shop.
9) Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or get the BT3 God upset.
10) Continued to take personal / shop tool inventory and when we missed a great bargain or didn't use the tool we had purchased on sale we promptly admitted it.
11) Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with the BT3 God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His tool buying will for us and the power to carry that out.
12) Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this BT3 Central message to woodworkers everywhere, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.Comment

I have tried all manner of different forums in an effort to reduce my BT3 intake. Nothing else has the same kick. I have had to quit my job because of BT3Central. Sometimes I am out of bed before the alarm goes off. I find I am lurking posts here before the coffee pot has even completely perked. Interesting threads are starting to postpone that initial cup o joe. I find myself getting online to order something that is important and I don't want to forget it and yes, even then, BT3 is the automatic first stop. It has caused delays of sometimes hours of online part and material searching and buying.
I have managed to pretty much kick the woodworking habit, but sometimes I even backslide on that. I have accepted the fact that I am powerless over BT3 and that my shop will never look like Rod's. All in all, a fella has to have at least ONE vice. BT3 is one of mine.

Nah, you can quit this site anytime you want. I know, I've done it dozens of times.
I first became aware of my weak and depraved state of dependency when I looked at my flyrod in the garage, the nice weather outside, and went inside to check for new posts.
