Spiral upcut bit trivia

Did you know that Holbren's 1/4 spiral bits (probably anyone else's also ) are sharp enough to slice right through several layers of rag and still slice a finger while getting it out of the collet? So sharp in fact, the recipient doesn't even know he has been cut a couple of times till he starts getting red stuff all over his project. I would know better than to do a dumb thing like that but I heard that somewhere this morning and thought I would pass it along.

Yikes. At least it wasn't spinning. But now you're going to need about another quart to finish "staining" your project.

Funny you should mention that

I hear it's hard to remove blood from a painted concrete floor!

I haven't moved in to my new house yet so this floor is bare concrete.

just paint the floor dark red and forget about it.

Becasue it's carbide and they say it will keep cutting your 50 times more than an HSS bit.

Keep your eyes out for butchers gloves. They are a stainless steel mesh.
