      Joe, thanks for the answer. So in a nut shell the WD-40 makes things TOO slippery and attracts dust. I would not have thought that a certain amount of friction was needed, I would have figured less friction the better. Glad I don't have a piano, I would have ruined it by now!!

        The spellings in China are just as good. I have some pictures that I took of some good "Chinglish" signs. I bet many will be fixed before the Olympics next year.

          Not for lubrication, but in a previous life where I raced bicycles it was the prefect thing to make a titanium bike frame look new again - just wash the bike then when it's dry spray a little WD40 on a cloth and wipe it down.
