    Sick and alone...

This is one of those days when I really appreciate my wife. I'm home sick -- sore throat, nasty cough, headache -- wonderig how all this aweful oak pollen seems to have infiltrated my home because my eyes are itching like mad (regardless of the meds) and I only seem to stop sneezing long enough to cough for a while. My wife took the kids up to Chicago to visit friends, so I'm all alone with an empty fridge, fighting entropy (and gravity), falling in and out of consciousness only to awake in little puddles of drool.

Seems like the whole house is falling apart. There're dishes everywhere, piles of clothes and tissues, and I seem to have lost the remote. It's so much easier when she's around -- how on Earth does she keep everything together while dealing with two kids and a slob like me?

Ugh. OK. Enough self pity. I'm going to go rinse my eyes out with bleach and call Domino's. Thanks for listening... (aaaa-choo!)

My, that's an attractive picture! Hope you're feeling better--it's a terrible thing to waste a sick day on being sick!

whew, reading the title I thought you were going to confess to being a mass murderer , what with all the VT news going around.

Hope you get over your allergies/cold/sinus infection and back to WW, the family and job, soon.

shoot, you are really losing it! come on, be a man, pull yourself together - get up and search for the remote and get to the tv...

and as for the rest - just kick it under the carpet or the bed and order pizza; these things will take care of themselves in a few days; i would not be surprised if that coincides with when your wife comes back...

Hooray! I found the remote. It as in the refrigerator of all places -- next to the empty pitcher of orange juice. Man, I really am losing it...

You need to go snort a line of saw dust and snap out of it man!

I usually go out and make a major unauthorize purchase in protest of her trips out of town! ...cheers me right up! Once you shake the ills, it's a good time to catch up on steak, pizza, beer, ice cream and TV!

Hang in there...the remote will turn up eventually!
