    Remember When

The game essentially is for each participant to build off the phrase: "Remember when"

    An example could be:

... a bottle of Coke was 5 cents
    or
... the Canadian mens hockey team could win a medal
    or
... you could walk through an airport security point without getting half naked

A McDonalds burger was 15 cents, fries were 12 cents, and a small Coke was 10 cents? (And they sold you a dunk cup of ketchup for 2 cents ...)

(It was in the mid '60s, and yes, they sold "small" drinks.)

                When cokes were a nickle?

When those nickle peanut boxes had a surprise nickle in it sometimes?

Really don't wanna tell my age but
WHEN we finally got tv you had trouble distinguishing the ball in a baseball game from the snow!
When color tv was a blue sky and green grass but not all scenes had sky in them and you had blue heads,
When Kieth chocolate bars were 3 cents!
When I drove my Harley 125 to Saracuse NY from Williamsport Pa 180 miles and back for less than a dollar!
When Gas less than $2.00 What! how about $.29 a gal.
When I paid $80 for a 1 meg memory chip, that wasn't too long ago!

I remember 35 cent haircuts and "gas war" gas for 19.9 cents a gallon in San Antonio, TX. PX cigarettes for 15 cents a pack, I don't know how people can afford them today.

Hey, I once paid $375 for a 16K stick of used RAM. And got a racehorse deal because that was about half the price of new!

                        My entries:

... when each baseball league had only eight teams, and no divisions.
... when beer and soda cans didn't have pop-tops.
... when the frozen food section contained only veggies, pizza, ice cream, and TV dinners.
... when movies didn't have (or need) ratings.

when politicians could actually run the country

when there were only 4 television stations

when cars had makeovers every year

when kids could stay out after dark and their parents not worry

when kids played outside instead of in front of the tv/computer/game console

when cell phones came in brief cases
