It seems to be a pretty effective technique.
EdDo you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

I'll have to try that during rush hour.
I know from watching reports (non news that isn't slanted), the worst thing they can do is stop, that's when accidents happen. They sure have a lot of traffic to deal with.Eric

I wonder which Nascar driver they learned that bump and run technique from

.
I would move too if I saw a large hummer driving up on me and then coming in closer for a bump, smart people to get out of the way.

Maybe this comment is too political.
But my reactions to the video:
1) The humvee has to keep moving... because its too easy a target if they stop in traffic?
2) The locals must resent the armed troops bullying them that way.
3) Maybe the locals don't mind so much and get out f the way quickly since they don't want to be next to a target.

Being that I'm not American, I wasn't going to comment until someone else did ... but my initial thoughts were very much along the same line as you Loring ... also seemed to be a little less regard for the safety of the locals (did you see the guy crossing the road and jumping out of the way?)Maybe this comment is too political.

Watching it reminded me of riding in NYC ...

Well it's easy to say there's no regard for the safety of the locals when you're not being shot at every day. I'm pretty sure the locals do resent the marines, I probably would if I were in their situation, but what else are the marines supposed to do? Obey all the traffic laws and have a good chance of having an RPG come through their window? It's a war zone. No disrespect intended here, just my humble opinion.-PaulComment

Well seeing as the cars were only shifted out of the way and not sent spinning into the wall, it couldn't be.....naw...never mind
It's a lose-lose situation. If they sit still they get shot at....if they plow on through, everyone wants to shoot at them. From the "deep south" part of Canada

Looks like south bound HWY 99 in Sacramento during rush hour, It has happened to me twice and they had guns, but were not Army, Navy or Marines. Over there maybe thats what you have to do, but it did look like there were in a big hurry. Maybe to help some fellow Marines out.
