Looks like something to make you toss your cookies.
Also looks like a good way to get a concussion - that guy's head looked awfully close to the floor at the beginning, his harness a little looser would have cracked his noggin wide open.

uh, so the answer is heck no.

      Heck YES!!!

I agree with Loring the first clip looks like they get a little too close to the ground for tall people. Other than that minor concern I would jump at a chance.

There is a video clip showing a two person version. The two person version has lights, music, and stays further away from the ground. Also looks like it's set up to be moved around like a mobile amusement ride. The first clip looks like someone playing around in their garage (maybe version 1).

Some years ago I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to "ride" several of the machines used to train astronauts. One of them was similar to this. Not as bad as it looks, although I definitely wouldn't want to have done it after a heavy meal.

I knew there was a reason I never pursued my idea of becoming an astronaut. That and the diaper thing.

That's funny because I work with robot arms that look very similar. We have to
do a skit at a yearly retreat, and this gives me some ideas.

As a matter of scale, the third arm is longer than 8' stretched out and is thicker
              than my torso.

I don't think I'd go for that ride. It'd probably make you feel like the morning after the night before.

No way in h3ll would I ride that . I don't think it would be a good idea to be to close to to it either. I'd be afriad of fying body fluids.

Actually, looking at the video carefully, it seems to me this system has some sort of sensor that detects proximity to the floor. In particular, at one point the guy sticks out a foot, almost touching floor, but it does not look like the foot ever makes contact. I know that industrial robots often have this sensor system to avoid banging their load around. So the guy's noggin is quite safe.
