I got it correct. I use to collect coins, when I had a paper route.

I missed it. I think the penny SHOULD say US of A and E. pluribus unum on it.

I used to collect coins. Nowadays I view the penny as a major PITA and give away virtually every one I get.

It says both. Just on the Reverse.

I missed it too because I overthunk it. I wan't to go with the right one but thought that was too obvious. So I swapped the Liberty and EPU.

Got it right. I am a Discovery Channel junkie and remember those U.S. Mint shows.

I closed my eyes and swung the cursor around and it stopped on the right one. Then it congratulated me!

No problem. I can't believe most people missed it.

I only missed the part that says "liberty" behind the head.

the exploratorium in San Fransico is a really neat place if you are ever in the area. it is an entire builting of Mr. Wizard / Bill Nye the science guy type of stuff.

I happen to have one penny in my front pocket. I should have looked at it before I picked.

Got it right. I kept looking and looking until one looked right, then picked. Hey guys, I don't get to see the penny everyday, only a few yen!

It is true that you can look and think too hard, but I remember an old story about J Edgar Hoover. He used to train FBI agents to spot for counterfit dollars by making them stare at and study the real dollar for long hours. Then they could spot something out of place when they saw the fake.

Probably some urban legend, but it sure sounds good.
