Sure looks to me like you gun it or slam on the brakes you end up on your head.

I am trying to figure out how that is practical. And how would you steer it? Seems to me it would be resistant to turning according to the gyroscope principle.

The way he stopped it, you would need a lot of shoe leather!

I guess its main attraction is as an eye catcher.
        Is there any suspension?
I guess you steer by leaning.
Changing the tire must be an excercise.
BUt wheel alignment is really easy!

Some years ago they built some of those on that show Junkyard Wars. That was quite entertaining!

I remember seeing (on TV) someone riding one down the street and they flipped it over on it's side ... I can't seem to remember who it was, but I'm thinking it was most likely the late "Indian Larry"

Hmmm, I seem to recall seeing these on South Park... Not a very user friendly set of controls.

I remember seeing a slightly smaller version in a parade about 20 years ago, he was in line about 25 units ahead of us. He said it's not that difficult to turn, just have to lean a little. Keeping your balance on it is easy once you get going.

That's essentially the same vehicle that General Grievous used in Revenge Of The Sith, when he was being chased by Obi-Wan Kenobi aboard that yelping dragon-like creature.

I wonder whether life imitated art, or vice-versa?

Browsing the net last night for these, one-wheelers basically like this have been around since the 1930's.

Not everyone found the controls distasteful, IIRC....
