I got Vonage installed over the weekend. It is running across a DSL connection and I do not have local voice service. So my question is....
Go out to the patch panel on my house and make sure the wire pair for a 2nd line is not connected there. Make up some cables that reverse the 1st/2nd line pairs. Plug one one into the VTA and the other end into a wall jack. Plug phones into the house jacks with my custom cables. This way the DSL is still on the original pair and the voice traffic is on the other.
Yeah it is probably easier to just get a multi-base cordless but I think this is cheaper.
