Thanks for everything Boss, and special thanks to Adele for being supportive and allowing all of us to be a part of your lives.

oh ... btw ..... we're all coming over for dinner next week ..... you should only need about 6,994 more chairs
    Thom,

You and any member of this forum that is ever in our neck of the woods better come over for dinner.

I also have to tell everyone that I was really happy when Sam decided to keep the forum. I know neither one of us have been very active lately, but I know you guys and gals are always here if we need you.

I think I have a margaritta to another good year.

      Problem with monthly subscription?

I was going to set up the monthly subscription like I did last year, but according to PayPal, it looked like it was only setting up a single $10 payment.

Has anyone done this yet? The ordering setup also says "1 month", so I'm not sure if it set up properly or if I'm just misinterpreting the messages.

As someone who just recently joined here, but who also has some inside knowledge of starting up a woodworking forum, I just wanted to say thanks to Sam (I know how much work goes on behind the curtain), and also give a tip o' the hat to the membership here. You all should be proud of the friendly and helpful atmosphere you've created...it reflects kindly on the whole group.

Another great big +1 for making this site available, and another sigh of relief that it's going to continue. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I've been online since 1989, and have participated in a number of forums and lists, covering a wide variety of subjects, and in all that time I only found one other forum that was even remotely close to being as helpful, as interesting, and -- above all -- as genuinely pleasant as this one.

The kickoff of this year's support drive has caught me with my PayPal pants down, so to speak, but I've just initiated an electronic funds transfer and will be ponying up as soon as it's complete.

              THANK YOU, SAM!

                Sam,

If you ever decide the forum is too much to maintain, I would be happy to host it. I have a fast dedicated server with tons of bandwidth available. Depending on what your monthly usage is, I could probably host it for free. Nothing would change to the look and feel and the move would be invisible to the community.

Just food for thought if you find yourself in a similar position next year. But for now, my payment is on the way.

Sam, thanks for keeping the forum going. Not sure what I'd do without my daily "fix".

                  Donation is on the way.

                    Just made a payment.

This is really the only forum I go to. I looked around at a few others and even though I never had a BT3 there is lots of great advice to be had here regardless of what saw you have.

This is a precious forum, worth preserving. 'Nice' does not cover it, but comes closest.

Rarely would I expect to be in such a diverse group and still see everybody treated equally and with respect. In any 'advice asked and advice given' scenario, there's always a potential for swollen ego and curt put-downs, or at the very least, snarky condescension, especially if its online (anonymity has always bred incivility in humans ) : and lack of all that is what makes this place a haven.

Sam and Adele, while we cannot make up for the hassle you shoulder, we can always sweeten it with our thanks. Heartfelt.

And whoever thought it up, $10 a month makes it easier.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Sam, thanks for keeping it going and being willing to take the time to keep us all together. Im sure you wouldnt want to be the cause of this many of us becoming internet homeless.
