Well, I fixed the status of it. I looked all around inside Paypal for any pertainent info. As usual, it is severely lacking in functionality. They have it so specialized that looking for anything is nearly not possible.
I am used to that though with them.

This however was the email I received with all the info.

        Membership Questions

I am very glad to see that you are keeping the site on line.
I have just recently found you site and even though I am a darksider (Grizzly TS) I have gotten allot of very good ideas and help using the search option.
I would like to send a Paypal donation however I don’t understand the difference between the monthly and other levels of donations?
If I sign up for the monthly membership do I get access to different things than the basic bronze, silver, ect.

        Thanks for the great site.

Wow, as a relatively new member, I've been amazed at this site's popularity and it's value. Mr. Conder, I'm hoping the interest in the Craftsman version (21829) will keep this site going for some time. I and several others here are enjoying this machine.

After gleefully enjoying the free (ahem) benefits, I want to first thank you for your work in having this site. And secondly, I'm looking to support this site as others do. As I've said in recent posts, this site was one of the *major* reasons I bought the Craftsman... I like to call it the BT3Craftsman. If I was stuck with Sears' service (or even Ryobi's), I may have decided against this saw and went with a more conventional cast iron table saw... there's plenty of them around and plenty of accessories. But "Black wallnut" said it well recently: "...There are now many more choices out there for saws and some of the BT's most ardent supporters have since moved on to other saws. I have not, and am still happy with mine, ..."

And "dkerfoot" said it well recently also: "...if you are used to a cast iron TS, you need to spend some time actually cutting on the 21829 (Craftsman) to really appreciate it. Most of the negative comments I see are from people who are used to something else. Give it some time, build a few projects and you will start to understand what a great saw this is (and don't forget what you paid for it!)"

I have wanted to ask this question on this forum: "Is there any other power tool in the world with a greater following on a website than the BT3x?" If there is, let me know about it. If not, congratulations to you, Mr. Conder, on a job well done in this Internet Age.

When we originally set up the site support options, many members asked for a subscription based payment in lieu of one initial up-front donation.

The only thing the monthly option does is to allow you to spread your donation expense out over the entire year.

                  THANKS!!!!!!!

                  Anyone who knows:
Are there any differences in the different levels??

Can you see what other people levels are?

If you paid, lets say $25 (silver) a month ago, and you decide to throw in another $25 now do you go up a level to gold? Or does it tack on 12 more months to your current time at the silver level? Or does it reset your time to the current 12 months at the silver level?

The "perks" of the levels are all the same. The only difference is in the amount you choose to give.

As far as the scenario you describe, as far as the forum software knows, you're still Silver. However, I consider you Gold. So if you do that, send an e-mail to webmaster@bt3central.com and let us know. We will upgrade ya.

The levels can be seen by clicking on "Forum Leaders" on the main forum page.

                            Sam,

I'm really glad you've decided to keep things "status quo". I'd be lost with this site, only place I know of where the members are "family".

Additionally, to reciprocate, I promise no improper posts for at least the next four months, I'll be a "good boy".

Again, thanks for giving me and the rest of us a home.
