President Ford was the only president that I ever saw in person. I was 5 years old when he visited Manila. My family stood on the sidewalk of Dewey Boulevard for hours just to catch a glimpse of presidential motorcade as it made its way to the international airport.
His presidency was not the most stellar, but niceness and decency rank high in my book, and I think he possessed and exhibited those traits very well.
