I agree with David, Chuck Norris would roundhouse kick those little undapants right off Van-Damme. And I would say Bruce Lee in the poll, he has taken a lot worse beatings than Jet-Li and keeps going.

That's not fair, Riggs shot him he was losing that fight and Jet had a metal bar sticking out of him during the end.

No doubt, Bruce Lee all the way. I dont even think it would be close. In his prime, nobody would have taken Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee did more for Martial Arts than anyone we know of. It is a shame he died at such a young age or Martial Arts would be so much more advanced today than it is now. Jet Li is awesome, Bruce was the BEST!

I will have to take Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do combined with his traditional background over Jet Li's Wushu background. It would be a good fight.

Chuck Norris every day and twice on Sunday. Ol' Chuck was a real fighter, not some movie ***** like Seagal. Well, in the beginning anyway.

I once did a paper on Bruce Lee and I've got to tell you all that if anyone doesn't pick Bruce Lee they haven't seen everything. This guy was incredible. If your only exposure was seeing him in the movies, then please watch the following here, here and here. He had to be the fastest. He could knock someone down with his arm extended and only about 3 inches of space between him and the guy getting knocked down.

On another note, I saw some interviews from Hong Kong TV where both Jet Li and Jackie Chan were asked how they felt they would compare to Bruce Lee and they both stated (rather quickly and convincingly) that they wouldn't stand a chance against Bruce. They both stated that for such a little guy he had so much more power than anyone else.

Chuck Norris once said that he thought it would be a good fight.

What about the Chuck Norris jokes being plagiarized by Jack Bauer? Jack Bauer doesn't even know martial arts.

                    Good topic!

I believe that Jet Li was a Chinese national champion at an early age. Very impressive considering the population of China. I had a Taiwanese office mate in college. he used a chinese word to describe Jackie Chan. I forget what the word was, but the translation was essentially, "all show and no go".

I personally like the early Jet Li stuff.

Ralph Macchio would beat them both at the same time. That crane kick is wicked.

Tough fight, but I'ld go with Bruce Lee. On an interesting note, after Bruce "killed" Chuck Norris in "Enter the Dragon" he was interviewed, and stated that Chuck Norris is one fighter he would definitely not like to fight.

I think that was "Game of Death". Either way, I wouldn't want to fight Chuck, serious fighter there.

Thanks "J", I stand corrected on the movie.

                              Jet Li

Jet Li won has 20 pounds on Bruce. I am a fan of both.
Li's notoriety is in wushu (part martial art part acrobatics).
As far as I know Lee was never world champ in any martial art.
