    What is...

Before you click off in a huff, read the rules to this question.

What is the purpose of life?

I watched the movie that Ed put up and tried to get a question in, but the movie ended. You may see this question as one that pertains to your own life or life in general. This is not to wander off into religious land, or seeking quotes from any Bibles, or views from dead philosophers. It's just a simple question as you see life and why you are here, and if there is a (purpose) per se, at all.

That reminds me of the final exam in one of my college Psychology classes. The question was. "Who am I, where am I going and Why?" Had 2 hours to write it. I got a "B-" on it. With a note saying great BS job (creative writing). funny thing is I managed to accomplish a lot of what I wrote. Didn't plan it, just the way things worked. As to Why? Never questioned why.

Without giving it too much serious thought, I was put here to make sure my species lived on. We had 5 boys and 4 girls.

What is the purpose of [my] life?

                  To teach my wife patience.

I have been at it for quite awhile, but I have far to go. Fortunately, I am very patient.

Well I know that answer to the "purpose" of some people I know:

I can't answer this without injecting my personal (spiritual) beliefs. I imagine there may be others among us who feel similarly.

Count me in this group. Though I believe sometimes (as does LOML) that JSCOOK had me in mind with that post!
