I always understood the question of how long it takes kicking the seeds out of a cucumber as a Southern idiom of 'Who knows how long it will take?"

Just like the English use 'Bob's your Uncle." for 'That's just the way it is."

The guide is part of the best 5 book trilogy ever written.

The movie was only barely suitable for human viewing.

Of course, it all started out as a BBC radio series. Then the book, then a BBC TV series, then a computer game, some more books, and then only recently was there a movie.

In only of the books they finally get the questions to which 42 is the answer: What do you get when you multiply 6 by 9. Bonus points for anyone who figures out how that can be true.
