Black Friday- What did U get?

I don't know what I was thinking but I woke up early so I thought I would go to Best Buy. It was insane. I got a SD mem card, mp3 player and 1 movie. Saved about $75 but the only reason I got the stuff was because it was cheap. Nothing I was wanting.
They had some good TV and Laptop deals....The camera I want wasn't any cheaper though.....

Sears Hardware: All but compressor half price- Micro-torque wrench
Digital tire pressure gauge, mechanic gloves, carpenter gloves, t-handle allen wrenches, 1hp/3 gallon compressor. Split it into two orders and got $20 off each order- as they gave $10 gift cards at the door plus I had a couple of $10 off $50 purchase coupons as well. Other than the folks who decided to wait OUTSIDE THEIR WARM CARS starting out 4:30, it was worth it. (TEMP was 34 degrees)

Heavy Duty Tools - it looks like I got one of th Bosch kits and makita bits. Took 25 minutes for the order to process. We'll see, if not, disappointed but not upse,t as nothing lost.

I'm glad you asked! Today, after waiting for 2 months for it to arrive from the factory, I'm going to pick up my new 2007 Chev Silverado 2500HD 6.6L Duramax Diesel pick-up! It seems like it's an appropriate day for it to arrive as LOML just told me this morning - Merry Christmas, enjoy the truck!! Sounds good to me!!

        3 hours of extra sleep......priceless
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible

Didn't have a lot of motivation to wake up at 4am, woke up at after 6, so gave up on Sears and hit HD - pretty scarce crowd, did not feel BF at all. There was a greeter at the door, saying 'good morning, come on in, everything is hot !!!' (as if it was Krispy Kreme or something ). apart from the unusual, warm, welcome, she was also unusually pretty, so felt good entering... ( )

...and ended up buying the Dewalt 18volt Drill/driver for $99. Had already searched the 'net and found this a better deal than anywhere else. With two batteries and charger included, could not possibly go wrong!

and as a bonus, suddenly found the 12g 25' lighted power-extension cord (a very long thread for this is still alive elsewhere) for $10.99 - tons of it now, and they didn't have any two days ago. so got one of that.

but looking at your post looks like Sears might still be worth a peek. might sneak out of work for a brief visit.

Part 2.....Stopped by sears and got the 14" Bandsaw. They had to order it since there were none in stock and my wife said I have to wait until Christmas to use it. It was $383. Probably not the best price but $96 of current price. I haven't had a sears coupon in over a year...

I didn't get anything. I stayed home and slept. I didn't even get up and make Mark breakfast and coffee before he left for work. Although there were a couple of things that would have been nice to have but since we traveled out of town yesterday I didn't feel like spending the money on things that we really don't need.

Managed to get one of the 22114 saws at sears. Pick it up tommorrow as they did not have one in the box today. So I guess the outside lights need to be put up today so I can get the whole day tommorrow to clean set up and play with the new toy.

What time did you get there? Wife wanted a tv, so we went to Best Buy at 3:45am! Came around the corner and there had to have been a minimum 200+ people in line. Didn't even bother to park the car- turned around and went back home.

Didn't leave the house until 7:30 AM, picked up 2 chamberlin 1/2 hp garage door openers for $87 each and another 5.0 hp/12 gal Ridgid shop vac for $27 At Home Depot. Didn't really need the shop vac, but at that price, hard to pass up to keep out in the garage.

Went to Sears, was really tempted by the 14' bandsaw, but ended up getting a couple of small things, including a retractable shop light.

Woke LOML at 4AM, then I went back to bed! She and two other girl friends took off to do the routine. It's now 4:45pm and she is still NOT back so I don't have a clue what she got. Me, went to LOWE's to check out things, but nothing really turned me on. Wass going to get the B/D 18v drill, but on close inspection and a word with one of the clerks found out it wasn't a "FireStorm", just something Lowe's had made just for this sale. So, I passed on it. Got two cordless as it is and didn't figure I REALLY needed another.

Bought a combo nailer/stapler from the Grizzly store in Muncy, PA. Not on
sale but I wanted it and it seems like a good buy.

Sister-in-law and the wife an I went out for breakfast, then to Lowe's to pick up a couple of those 4' ladders that were half-price.
We were afraid they would only have a few of them, but they had them piled up all over the store.
Then we came home and used the ladders putting up sheetrock in the new shop. With a 9'3" ceiling, those ladders came in handy!

A little after 0600. It was Crazy in the parking lot so I parked down the street at a Resteraunt. Easy to leave too when I was done. Stood in line almost an hour to pay though back in the new high end TV area. And I think that was faster than average check out. So by the time we left it was not as bad in the parking lot.

Oh yeah. At Sears I also got a 19.2V drill with Batt and charger for $40. Present for son. He carried it in the store but thinks i have a spare now....
