I didn't even want to think of lights today, I am so full feel like I am going to crack a rib.

Will be getting the decoration out of storage the first of next week. Will start putting the light up outside and will put the lawn decoration up as soon as the leaves are gone. Need a storm to knock the rest of the leaves off the trees. LOML will not have the inside decorated for 2 weeks, takes her that long. It's 4am Friday bad case of indigestion, wonder why? Oh yea! Thanksgiving was yesterday. Dr. not happy with my Triglycerides she really won't be happy now

I'm not bahumbugging but I'm not putting up the tree till the Saturday before Christmas. It's only my daughter and I here now, just not in the mood for it.
All the Hoosiers will be down by the Saturday before. sounds to me like a good excuse for a tree trimming party. Pat

Mood is everything. This whole holiday thing is really getting too commercial. Between the media hype for Black Friday, and the scramble for putting up decorations to be "the first on the block", it's crazy. This is a great time of the year, and we shouldn't forget it's true meaning.

I think next week I am going to get a tree permit and we will plan on going and getting our tree in the next couple of weeks. I don't decorate the outside although next year we may because of Thomas but I do the inside of the house and the whole family enjoys decorating the tree. This year is special for us because we have Thomas now and we are spending it with my family and my grandparents and great grandmother are getting up there in age and I want the kids to have the memories of the time they spend with everyone.

Plus I love Christmas time with everyone. I have a present sitting here from Marks parents that I want to open now but Mark said I have to wait. LOL. I am as bad as the kids sometimes.

I'll go along with Cabinetman on this one. The popular meaning of Christmas has been changing for quite some time. Too bad.

Gonna put the lights up this weekend. I don't put them up to be the 'first one on the block' I do it because I enjoy it. I like Christmas - always have. We will decorate the tree this weekend.
