    WAV sound files

There are lots of programs out there to make WAV files to MP3 and WMV and AU and vice versa.

Anyone know of a free program to take ASCII files with amplitude data in time series order and make a WAV file from it?

Dunno if you're a Perl hacker, but there's a CPAN module for writing WAV files, you'd have to script parsing your source data, but that's what Perl is really good at.
