    Left Hand Computing

Trying to learn how to operate this thing left handed. Wednesday night I took a header on the kitchen floor and spent the night in ER getting patched up and checked out. Everything is fine except I don't want to look at myself in the mirror. The big problem is that I sprained my right wrist so my right hand is worthless right now. You don't know how much you miss something untill you can't use it.
I haven't been able to use the computer but today I said hey dummy move the mouse to the left side of the keyboard, clumsy but it works.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. I've been known to hit the deck on occasion myself.

Hey Dick, sorry to hear about your spill. You got to me careful guy!

I am leaving for Seattle tomorrow and will be there all week but I don’t think I will have the time to visit with you though this time. Wish I could but I guess I will just have to wait and see how things go.

Dick, really sorry to hear you got hurt. ever try running a computer with 2 sprained wrists? DAMHIK. If you haven;t figured this out yet, you can reverse the mouse buttons to for the left side to make it a little less clumsy.

Hi Dick, sorry to hear about your fall - but, good to hear you're ok except for your wrist.

Apart from the mouse thing, it must be difficult to type a message with just one hand I bet? Hope your wrist heals quickly.

Dick, glad to hear the wrist is the worst of your problems. You are doing great considering what could have happened.

Dick I was sorry to read of your fall. I hope that things are getting better and at least it was only the wrist and nothing more serious. Wish we lived closer to ya so that the kids and I could come over and help ya out if you needed it.

                Take care of yourself.

                  Hi Lefty!

As the spokesman for the Left-Handed Community, I welcome you to our ranks, albeit temporarily!

Seriously, though, I hope you're feeling better and regain the use of That Other Hand soon.

FWIW, I am the only lefty in my family. I also was the computer owner when we got married, so my wife and now my children all learned to use the mouse left-handed. My wife says it's handier (hee hee) because she has her right hand free to manipulate papers, write notes, etc.

As you might guess, all our mouses are Hand Neutral... I hate those curvy things...

Get well soon! You might have bumped your head but it still works fairly well - if, as a right hander, you can figure out how to use the left hand for the mouse.

I am left dominant, third generation. My mother is a lefty, and my grandmother was a lefty, back when they would smack your wrists for it. I went from being left handed, to left dominant as a child. I po'd my brother and he started chasing me (I was around 5, he was around 9). We had this little closet extension, that was more like the old hidden passages in a church (don't know the terminology for it, never seen one over here). I jumped down on his rolltop desk, and the force of me jumping, caused it to shut. He hit the top, slid down, and landed, breaking his arm. Our punishment, was him trying to teach me to be a righty, and I, him a lefty. After you heal up, might want to try a few things. Seen enough people either get injured, or loose limbs and spend so much time trying to relearn.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
