Adam Vinatieri - The Best NFL Kicker Ever?

Has there ever been a better field-goal kicker in the NFL than Adam Vinatieri, formerly of the NE Patriots, but now with the Indianapolis Colts? The guy doesn't seem to know the word pressure!

I watched the end of the game yesterday as he kicked a field goal for the Colts with 6 seconds left on the clock to beat Denver - in Denver. That kick made him 14 for 14 this year. Vinatieri has made 2 end of game kicks to win 2 Super Bowls with the Patriots!

The guy is unbelievable! I think that this season if Indianapolis finally goes on to their first superbowl it won't be because of Peyton Manning. I think they will probably get there because of a winning field goal kick by Adam Vinatieri. I'm just wondering if it might be in a playoff game against his old team - the Patriots! Can't believe they let him get away.

Another kicker to keep an eye on is Robbie Gould from DA BEARS! Another one NE let get away. Only his second season in the NFL, and he already holds the Bears record for consecutive field goals, beat Kevin "Butthead" Butler's record. So far, 20-20 in field goals and 23-23 extra points, currently the leading scorer in the NFL.

Was waived by NE & Baltimore last year. Picked up by the Bears mid-season. If he keeps it up, he'll have one heck of a career!

Maybe Morten Anderson, Gary Anderson and George Blanda...

Yeah...Blanda threw more TD's than Vinatieri! Plus he'd hug his grandchildren after the games!

...A couple of years ago, after a perfect regular season, one them Anderson boys whiffed big time on a critical midrange FG attempt and prevented the Vikes from a 5th Superbowl chance.

Maybe, but none of them won a Super Bowl(although George Blanda's best day's were before the Super Bowl).

I think, in time, Adam Vinatieri will surpass the records that are now held by the Anderson's. He is one great clutch kicker!

That's OK, they would have lost anyways. There's only one thing a Bears fan & a Packers fan can agree upon. We both hate the Vikings!

Man I hated Blanda, but then again I'm a Chiefs fan.

Blanda was great, Don't forget Jon Steneruud, though.

I'm just happy that we don't have Vanderjerk anymore. He wasn't anything like the Colts. Most of our talented players just do their talking by their actions on the field. But I really wish some of our defensive players would start talking. The game against New England will really be telling. Hopefully in a good way for Indy.

                    Best Kicker?

Here's a name to consider...since he currently hods t NFL records...Jason Elam of the Broncos. Co-record holder for the longest field goal, 63 yards, and fastest NFL player to score 1,600 points. He probably has 3-5 good seasons left to add to his stats.
