Anyone use PeoplePC for Internet access?

I have been with EV1.NET for 5-6 yrs now and they are getting out of dial-up access. All accounts will be transferred to PeoplePC. Unfortunately, where I live, cable or DSL is not available to me.

At this point, not sure to go with PeoplePC or look for other alternatives. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them or other dialup alternatives.

    TIA

YOU MUST INSTALL THEIR SOFTWARE FOR THE DIALUP ACCESS, and they are WINDOWS only!

That says it there for me. No Mac, won't give you the information to set up a dial out router, etc. As for price, they aren't any better then a lot of local dial up places. Thought unfortunately, they are all going bye-bye.
I am actually going to have to set up a dial in server at the rate it's going, just so my brother (in the country) can have dial up.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

      Not for me!

I tried them and found them to be too slow and cumbersome...canceled with in two weeks and went to a local ISP that had considerably better service.

Check frequently if you are interested, Ken. WB has stopped adding accounts in a few area due to having more customers than they had planned. They have an new satellite going up, by the end of the year, I believe. I'd rather have DSL, but it's not available.

Hm, I use EV1.net for several years now, too, and most of my pics on line at BT3central postts are hosted at my EV1 account...
I will lose the picture links... and my email address.
