I've been wondering also what that "stuff" could be:
1. Handplane was dull and didn't produce enough shavings so they swept in some yard waste.
2. The squared off piece of wood on the bench was really a tree trunk, that they debarked.
3. It could be skin shedding from the swamp monster who was working at the bench.
4. Bad lettuce that fell out of a couple of Whoppers they were having for lunch.
5. Torn up pages from the "Green Machine" instruction manual.
6. Probably not dog poo from the shop dog.
7. Remnants from a shredded green tarp used to cover bench in transport.
Other than this bench being a "one size fits all" type that's overpriced to begin with, it's probably not a bad bench if you like these sort of things. One thing though, the vise at the right looks a bit funny somehow, like something is missing.
