    Last Update On Nephews Murder

Almost exactly 2 years ago Tina's 4 year old nephew was murdered by his Mother's live-in boyfriend, http://www.bt3central.com/showthread...ghlight=murder

To avoid having the surviving child who witnessed the killing have to testify in a trial, the Solicitor offered life without chance of parole to the killer, which he accepted.

At the hearing on Monday of this week, he accepted the plea to the judge, but when it came time for him to state clearly that he had murdered the child he said he was responsible for the death but refused to state that he had killed him, and started off on a tangent about trying to save him, etc. One of his lawyers started yelling at him to shut up and pulled him out of the court room. After a recess of over an hour of conversations in chambers, etc. the hearing resumed and finally he stated that he had killed the little boy.

The hearing was the first time we had heard all the details from the medical exam on the many various injuries done, and it is still extremely distrubing to think about.

The 'Mother' got 10 years, with 6 inside followed by 4 of probation. DSS still has charges against her to be processed.

Thanks for listening, it took me since Monday to be able to compose the post.

Ken, being new here- I had no idea. I am sincerely sorry to hear about this. If there is anything I can do, let me know. I can't imagine what this would be like, and I'm sorry that you don't have to imagine it.

I wish you, Tina and your family the best.

The horror is unthinkable. To die by the hand of a trusted parental figure has to be more torturous than anything imaginable. My sympathy and prayers are with you and yours, Ken.

Ken - I'm not new here, and didn't realize what your family had been through. That's probably the most disturbing thing I've read on any forum and my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. ...makes all this "tool talk" stuff seem embarassingly trivial.

                      God bless you and yours.

Ken that is so sad, I truly feel sorry for those associated with this. I just can’t understand people. I can not understand the motivation or possible reasons to harm a child. I guess that’s why I do better with technology and woodworking as people make no sense to me.
