    The Ghost of Saturday Night

    Quick,

Think of 3 things you'd be doing right now if you were back in your late teens or early 20s.

Now no cheating, we know what you're doing now.

Kind of bums you out ?

Well, I'd probably been in a car wreck...I was in 12 before I got out of high school. Only driving in two.....I've learned to pick my rides better....

Working behind the mixing board at a Rock club. Hanging out back stage and partaking of Sex, drugs and Rock n Roll. If I happened to get a night off from the party scene maybe a trip for Atlantic Blue Fish (they school up this time of year)

Without out a doubt, either drinking with the hundred other folk at Alley Pond Park or meeting up with the local CB crowd. This was before everyone and their brother had cell phone's mind you. Ahhh... those were fun times. Breaker Breaker.

Sunday afternoon, late teens early twenties . . .

we had a regular sunday afternoon pickup football game at the local highschool . . .then to one of our houses for food and to watch TV. . . . we led a sheltered existence . . . besides .. most of my friends and I were working REAL hard on that student draft deferment . . . a great incentive to staying in school and making grades

Was that CB crowd the group that hung out in the Levittown or Farmingdale area?

In Biloxi, Miss. as an Airman one stripe going to Tech school learning how to be an air traffic controller. Away from home first time (not counting basic training at Lackland--ugh!) and in the south, right on the Gulf with warm water and about 10 miles from an all girls school at Gulfport! What fond memories.
