I just returned from a wonderful trip

Monday when I got home from work the weather was so beautiful that I decided that sitting at home for the next 3 days was ridiculous.
Thinking about what to do I decided that a trip to the coast would be ideal. I love the Oregon coast but it's a long drive and then I rembered a friend that I used to work with raved about Moclips WA. I scrounged up his phone number and he told me where they stay. By this time it is about 3 PM but I gave them a call, they had rooms available so I booked one.
Tuesday Murphy {my dog} and I headed for Moclips 3 1/2 hours later we were there. I took a tour through town {town?} no resteraunt bar or gas station. I did find a resteraunt in Pacific City {a bikers bar} just outside of town.
At this point I was wondering what I got myself into.

I couldn't find the motel and finaly swallowed my pride and asked directions what I found when I got there was nothing like I had expected, the place was beautiful. When I checked in the gal gave me what she said was their nicest room. The room turned out to be a luxury 1 bedroom condo.

Murphy and I spent our time just relaxing and walking on the beach. We were on the second floor and Murphy, being blind, had a bit of a problem with the stairs but got by.

No phones in the rooms, no cell service just 2 days of listening to the surf rolling in and the sea gulls.

Downside is that I had to come back today to go to work tomorrow.

    A couple pictures
The sunrise and sunset were shot from my deck, the other is the living room in the condo.

I didn't ask a price when I made the reservations and I'm glad I didn't but it was worth every penny.

                  Beautiful--just like a postcard.

I was planning to interview out in Wash. for a job a few years ago but never made it past the Mississippi. Sorry I didn't.
