    Unusual piece of wood.

    This is from woodnet, but I saw the link on the pen turning forum.

      Saw that the other day but hesitated posting it, Hank. Glad you did.
      I do agree with the one suggestion of resawing it into veneers for coffee tables for those who............., oh never mind, I'm about to get into trouble, again.

          Looks like "wood" to me. That growth in the grain is called a twig, not a branch.
