    Sunday in the shop

Don't know 'bout you guys, but this kind of stuff is getting tiring. I don't remember last summer being this way. This is what I've had for the past 9 weeks, and actually, today was better than many. Sigh.

Ken I agree with You, I worked in My Daughters kitchen yesterday, that was okay. However today I had one of My headaches and am now getting around in the house. Bill

Ken, If I tell you what the temp was in my shop you will grumble. We had a wet weekend and the outside temp was 65-70 at best.

My shop is my basement shop. It is the same temp there all year round - nice and cool. that said, I spent most of yesterday and today out in the heat.

The weather here in NY is about the same as in Eastern PA (Hellrazor's home) didn't have too much ambition this weekend. Should have stayed out of the shop. I learnde that if you drop a routher with a 3/8" solid carbide spiral bit, you trash the bit (broke in 3 parts, routher OK) but I'm still out about $30 something dollars.

Oh yeah, messed up a jig I've been working on for about two weeks.

Bottom line, I REALLY HATE RAIN.

Should have stayed in the house and drank with Mr. Daniels

The irony of it all is it took over 9 months for the cherry I'm working with to finish drying, and then I spend the whole day sweating on it. I sure hope they mean it when they say that dried lumber won't soak it back up.

You know, I was reading this wishing I would have seen it while I still had the shop powered up. I guess the wise guy in me would have taken a picture of the temperature out there at 72 degrees! I am telling you guys, AC! When I built the building I was limited on the size but went first class with everything. I insulated to the max and had the very large window AC unit hung before I even finished the building. I just can’t handle the heat like I once could. The AC will cool the shop down in about 30 minutes and I just set the temp at 72 and it holds it. Unfortunately I did not install heat so come winter I will be the one complaining!

I hate what sawdust does to return air filters. Oh Ken, BTW, You wouldn't have to put up with the heat on Sunday if you spent it in an air conditioned place of worship. I always check out the woodwork.

That was the temp AFTER church. Hate to think of what it would have been if I hadn't gone.

We're looking for a high of 108 today. It's supposed to cool down to around 101 later in the week, when the monsoon moisture returns.
I really am going to make something one of these days.

I don't care much what the temp is outside. I just love the the smell of pigskin this time of year. Go Badgers!

I just got back from few day vacation in Tucson. Instead of spending time by the pool or on the golf coarse my wife and I spent the vacation around Desert Museum, Catalina Mountains, De Grazia museum, etc. It is sure cooler by the pool but more fun elsewhere.
