That's exactly why SWMBO said "Forgetaboutit!"

Didn't mean to scare you off. This is extreme and unusual these days.
My parents have a certificate that says we (me included at 2 YO) survived the coldest winter on record in January 1969, in Dawson Creek. Warmest day was -32 F, coldest was -54 F.

There are many beautiful areas, particularly in BCs lower mainland or on Vancouver Island (where RickD lives) where you won't even see snow every year. If you can put up with the grey skies (ala Seattle) and rain it's great. Those are the reasons I left.
If you don't like the rain, the Okanagan Valley or Southern Alberta are the places to be.

No, you didn't. LOML is Texas born and bred. 110 degrees doesn't bother her as much as me. I was Pennsylvania B&B so 0 degrees doesn't phase me. But when it drops to 40 here she's freezing and I'm out w/o a jacket!

        yep. Been there. Beautiful!

Nope. Can't. I like Seattle, but not the rain and clouds.

We were thinking more of Quebec area, or maybe New Foundland. LOML HAS to be near better shopping, lovely trees, hills which "she" calls mountains, and not too cold!
