    Birthday gloat

I came home from work yesterday and LOM had this waiting for me, NIB:
    http://www.samsung.com/Products/TV/P...PS4253XXAA.asp

About a month ago she asked if I'd trust her enough to spend several hundred dollars on my birthday present without knowing what it was, esp if the present normally cost a lot more than what she would pay. I told her not right now - we couldn't afford it since we had to recover from the flooded basement. She didn't listen.

I also got a Tilley hat:

I'd say, keep her around for another year...

So this proves that sometimes it's OK when they don't listen.
On the other hand, I never listen when LOML tells me not to spend, I just don't tell her.

NICE....I have been saving up for a 40" LCD. I was looking in the store and liked the Samsung's the most. Have fun with it.

you either got a great wife and should give her tenure,
or, the hat was for you and the TV for her, in which case another year's probation will be fine.

They are both for me. She doesn't care enough on her own about the TV. I wanted a more versatile hat than my straw one. This one I can crush in a pocket or luggage or get dirty and wash or whatever.

It was a long time client of hers that was doing her a favor. Not too sure on the details other than he got it then decided he wanted a bigger one or something like that. Most of her clients are rich enough to do things like that.
