    Impressive

When I first joined this forum back in December 2002, I never dreamed it would grow like it has. Almost 5900 members to date, and still going strong.
Now, if only the Politicians would take note of this achievement by
strangers working together for a common goal.
    Can you Imagine?
    Just a thought,

That would go totally against everything they have worked so hard for already. We, however should be proud of ourselves for bringing so many diverse backgrounds together to make us ALL better. I for one have not conversed with anyone on this forum that I would not truly like to meet in person and honestly feel like I have known them for years.

Sam, however deserves the credit for making this the "BEST FORUM" on the net.

Hear, hear! This is one of the few forums on the net that doesn't degrade into infantile name calling or ignorant rants. Maybe it's because we can take out our frustrations on hunks of wood; or maybe it's because of the type of person who is attracted to woodworking in the first place. Either way, this is certainly my favorite website.

I agree. Lots of different OPINIONS here and that's GREAT.....but they don't sink into flame wars. I don't know how that's possible but so far.....wow.......what a great group of guys to talk to. I've been here a few months now and it's been fantastic.

I have given up on two separate websites on football talk related to my beloved Tennessee Titans. There is just NO respect there and you can't talk without it turning personal and nasty.

I've met several of the members here and hope to meet more. It is my second home, I go to other forums, but I don't tarry long. Bill

To me this is the best forum that I know of. Like Mark says "Some of our best friends are people that we haven't even met." I know that we have met a few and would like to meet more one of these days.

And where else can a relative newbie get great advice on things.
