    History Repeats Itself

    California - 156 Years Ago

Do you know what happened this week back in 1850, in California?

    California became a state.
    The State had no electricity.
    The State had no money.
    Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gun fights in the streets.

So basically, it was just like California today--except the women had real breasts and men didn't hold hands.

Is history repeating itself an example of history repeating itself?

Sad to say I am a native Californian(non Indian) and it is pretty much the truth. I am also a life long resident of the Capital City, Sacramento so I have a good seat to watch the sillyness in the Big White Building with the Dome. When I was a kid we used to play hide-go-seek in the building during the summer that was before the Legislature became a full time waste of money, which now seems we had a better use for the building. The truth is when we had a part time Leislature you could wander all over the building including the Governors office. Much simpler time back then even met a couple of Governors.
